Why should I be a guest on the Alt Medicine MD podcast?

For the last 6 months I’ve been producing a podcast on medical cannabis and it’s been growing like a weed (oh yes I did), reaching tens of thousands of patients, HCPs, and industry professionals. It’s a royal pain in the ass to do, takes a silly amount of my time, but I love doing it (check out www.TheMedPOTcast.com).

So I thought, “why not do this for our Integrative, Functional, Alternative, Holistic, etc. patients!” and that’s how my newest podcast began.

It’s called The Alt Medicine M.D. Podcast.  It’s for our Integrative & Functional medicine patients- they’ve been through the wringer and they’re looking for help, and Dr. Google only gets them so far. It’s brand-new…check out the website (click the pic) and Episode 0 (what the show is about). First episodes to air October 14th, 2019.

I need guests for the show that can speak on a particular subject of interest.  It can be anything from chronic fatigue, intermittent fasting, IBS, anxiety, cancer, Ayurveda, hypnosis, sleep, female hormones, migraines, breast feeding, vitamins or minerals, eczema, cholesterol….  You name it- if it’s a subject you are good at (notice I didn’t say “perfect”), then you are IT. Plus, we want to hear about your REAL LIFE experiences as a practitioner. What happened when you corrected Mrs. Jones low iron levels? How long did it really take and what were the complications? It’s not all Rainbows and Unicorns, right?!

I’ve begun recording speakers in advance of the podcast being released.  If you’d like to be a guest on my show, please let me know- shoot an email to drh@AltMedicineMD.com

Why would you want to be a guest? For fame, glory, and immortality! But really, to spread the good word; to reach a larger audience; to let the world know that it’s not all about Western medicine, and when it is about Western Medicine, how to do it properly.  Wouldn’t it be nice to say to your patients, “Yes, I do know how to treat hypertension using techniques and supplements other than prescription meds. Check out episode #32 on The Alt Medicine M.D. Podcast.” Or how about posting a link to the episode you were featured, on your website?

It may sound scary to be interviewed on a podcast- it isn’t.  We talk over the internet, both of us sitting in our own comfy chairs in our own comfy place. You’ll tell me what you tell your patients every day; you explain things in layman’s terms so a 6th grader can understand; you teach. It’s the essence of what a good Doctor, NP, PA, Nurse, therapist, or other practitioner should be doing every day.

You’ll need a computer with a microphone, an internet connection, and a quiet room- that’s it.

The interviews are typically done on Fridays.

I’ll send you a “general” question sheet in advance of our talk that I’ll use to get the conversation started. That way, you’ll have time to prepare your answers in advance.

And you’ll send me your Bio in advance so I can tell folks a little bit about you.

On the scheduled Day/Time of the interview, we’ll chat.  If you screw up, say 30 ‘ummms’ in a row, or sneeze, I’ll delete that part out. If you pause for 10 seconds to get your thoughts together, I’ll delete that gap out. I literally will spend 4 or 5 hours editing our interview so that we both sound like graduates of Toastmasters!

That’s it.  Need more answers? Shoot me an email.  Want to be a guest, shoot me an email: drh@AltMedicineMD.com with your topic.

Thanks for considering.
